Work-Link is a small independent Charity, that offers opportunities to people in a supportive environment. We accept people for who they are, and work closely with them to reach their own goals. This support is funded by the donations of furniture and electrical appliances that are gifted to us.
When a donation of essential furniture or appliance is donated, it is usually sent straight out to individuals or families that have either been homeless, fleeing domestic violence, or unable to afford essential items such as a bed to sleep on. On average Work-Link delivers to over 1,500 homes per year
We sell re use furniture and electricals to the general public, in our shop, warehouse and online. All these goods are very affordable and of a good quality. For instance a good quality sofa, would cost no more than £100 and as little as £20. Our Service Users work in the shop and warehouse, gaining vital skills such as customer service.

The reusing process is not about repurposing the materials an object is made of, but repurposing the very object itself. This includes buying and selling used goods and repairing items rather than discarding them.
Reusing is better than recycling because it saves the energy that comes with having to dismantle and re-manufacture products. It also significantly reduces waste and pollution because it reduces the need for raw materials, saving both forests and water supplies.
Often reuse is far kinder to the environment than recycling.
